kiss-of-deathPsychological operations are planned propaganda operations.

Have you noticed how Scientology Inc. consistently describes Independent Scientologists (including me) as followers of Marty. “Followers” of Marty.

Followers. Hmmm. It’s a common thread, so it’s no accident.

The outpoint is “assumed identities not identical.”

A couple of days ago someone started circulating the same enemy line on Facebook. So I started to investigate.

If there is one thing I know, it is positioning. I had to push my understanding to the limit because I had to position Scientology amid the hostile radioactive landscape of DM brand insanity: a worst-case scenario if there ever was one. All told, I literally worked on the problem for years and what you see now is the final culmination of that solution in motion: separating out for everyone the difference between an invaluable philosophy and a psychotic, destructive organization.

To position something means to change how someone thinks about something by characterizing it in a clever or insightful way.

In psychological warfare, the idea is to position maliciously with such subtlety, the enemy never even notices the kiss of death. It’s totally 1.1 (covert hostility).

Followers, throw off your stigmas

I'm not a "follower" any more than you are a "follower.” Are you a follower? Like Flipper, doing anything for a fish? It’s bullshit. It's a put down. An invalidation. And it's pure black propaganda.

Apparently, DM’s strategy is to black PR Marty and position every Indie as a subservient “follower.” Everyone in the DM camp keeps repeating this enemy line.

See, there aren’t enough resources discredit everyone. And some people, like myself are nigh impossible to discredit. I never beat anyone at the Int base, and I have a terrific track record proven by what I’ve done on my own bat with Scientology-cult.com -- starting by the way in December 2007, one year before Marty joined the fight. Which also takes me out of the “follower” class. But really chronology has nothing to do with it.

PSYOP by the CoS

What the CoS is really attacking is your sense of personal integrity, specifically points 14, and 15:

1. Never desert a comrade in need, in danger or in trouble.

2. Never withdraw allegiance once granted.

3. Never desert a group to which you owe your support.

4. Never disparage yourself or minimize your strength or power.

5. Never need praise, approval or sympathy.

6. Never compromise with your own reality.

7. Never permit your affinity to be alloyed.

8. Do not give or receive communication unless you yourself desire it.

9. Your self-determinism and your honor are more important than your immediate life.

10. Your integrity to yourself is more important than your body.

11. Never regret yesterday. Life is in you today, and you make your tomorrow.

12. Never fear to hurt another in a just cause.

13. Don’t desire to be liked or admired.

14. Be your own adviser, keep your own counsel and select your own decisions.

15. Be true to your own goals.

-- L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology 0-8, The Code of Honor, Nov 1954

Those in the CoS are the followers. We are the leaders. And that is what makes us strong.  The SPs hate that.

The entire “follower” prank is a black marketing op -- textbook PSYOP. Select a leader and start a massive black PR campaign against him. Reposition (and stigmatize) everyone else as a “follower” (a covert put down implying you don’t have a mind of your own, can’t think for yourself, you are a mindless automaton, etc.).  It’s a negative button.

This prank is so busted.

Great post! Very true.

Inside the church you find some Miscavige followers. And that's not a black marketing op, it's just what it is.

Nice article Thoughtful.
Out of Co$ we are free to look around, we are free to agree or disagree. This is a luxury that Scientologists in Co$ don't have, they can't look to the internet, they can't disagrre with Dear Leader David Miscavige.

David Miscavige is really a criminal accusing others of ill behaviour and crimes he himself is doing.

MostlyLurker that is spot on and I am in agreement.

So the folks who have the Manchurian Candidate Mantra down cold say we're following?
"[DM] is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life." The "leader of leaders" has no followers? Probably. Just devotees, which sounds nicer than groupies.

Hey Dave,
Hmmmm, a 'follower', me, Jim Logan. That's kinda funny, in a 'tard' type fashion. Especially considering why you declared me and all. Remember that I Want Your Sex tune I told you to fu@# off with? That's funny, a 'follower'. K(n)OB. Good post for ya.

Spot on as usual, thoughtful.

My wife and I recognized the truth about the church of miscavology well over a year before Marty came on the scene. Your site was of immense help to us by relaying accurate data with which we could better as-is the false data we'd been fed by the CofM, and to assure us that we were not alone in observing what we observed.

Marty has added a fantastic flow to the comm line of exposing DMs crimes.

Thanks for all your help.

Les

Yes, I consider Marty not only my best friend, but to me personally, the most valuable person on the planet. He is the most effective person in Independent Scientology. Thank you Les.

Absolutely great article. Many things fall into place. There is a whole variety of similar buttons like claiming that one would be "upset" or "ARC-broken" or "disaffected" or "in a games condition" when one protested against out-tech or out-ethics. Same type of invalidation and false indication.
Gave me allways the slight feeling I had to protest to defend or to put it right. Your article explains why. Thank you, Steve.

Super good Essay Steve.
Good job.

The image of "Scientology" is comparable to a Nazi Organization, dominating, threatening, acting as ELITE and a Superior race, in their DELUSION.

Country after Country seeks to investigate/Ban them for corruption

FRANCE, GERMANY, BELGIUM, RUSSIA ~~ more recently
AUSTRALIA and CANADA is now in pursuit ....

See this just released report in Canada ~~Video which makes you shake your head as to ARROGANCE and ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK of the reporter....

Fantastic article, Steve.

Great job on spotting the major outpoint in the C of S's characterization of Independents.

As you stated, this tactic is designed to invalidate one's own perception of his personal Code of Honor.

I'm glad you are out here looking at this stuff. Many people only perceive the obvious outpoints in the C of S's activities. Few would suspect the less obvious and more sophisticated actions taken by the Black Dianeticist's running the Church's Black Propaganda campaigns.

Well done on pointing this out. It's definitely Psy Ops!

Steve,

I just saw this and so now many others will as well. Your experience and expertise has become known to people you've never met by a friend that you haven't heard from in a long time who is making sure that your works and reputation among true SO members i.e. those who keep LRH's Scientology Working have known for decades.

;)

I just saw this great article, missed it earlier somehow. I share Marty's main stance on the Church and agree with him on most of the finer points. Of course that doesn't make me a follower of Marty, it just makes me a Scientologist. Hundreds of people are jumping up and down at Crazy Dave's command while destroying Scientology, destroying lives and hopes. I bet they'll feel very silly when some day in not such a distant future Davey blows to the Cayman Islands somewhere with the Church's millions.
