The technique is called "Rollback" This is a procedure frequently used. When a knowledge report is written, a series of people are interviewed rolling back to the originator to find the WHO started the criticism. Punishments are severe. A common one is cleaning a dumpster or toilet with a toothbrush. Not normal tools for cleaning but a toothbrush ! Also explaining the SPITTING culture, why Sea Org members spit on each other.

Scientology whistleblower Carol Nyburg tells interviewer Karen de la Carriere how she "blew," or fled, Scientology for the last time. She was forced to escape from their Clearwater, Florida Mecca because she could not see her family and was being abused. Carol says Sea Org members believe David Miscavige couldn't possibly *Know* about the sleep deprivation and other abuses !

Valerie Haney isn't some ex-member with a grievance, she is a Sea Org member that was personal staff for David Miscavige for some 3 years and Shelly Miscavige personal staff for another 3 years. Born in 1979 she lived at the Clearwater Facility from ages 6-12, no formal schooling, working for the cult from 8am til midnight.I try to share her story with empathy.
